Menopause is an important phase of every womens life.It marks an importnat transition in her life.Perimenopausal and postmenopausal symptoms can be disruptive to ones personal and professional lives, and changes associated with menopause will affect a woman’s health as she ages.Therefore, perimenopausal care plays an important role in the promotion of healthy ageing and quality of life.Unfortunately, both awareness and access to menopause-related information and services remain a significant challenge in most countries. Menopause is often not discussed within families, communities, workplaces, or health-care settings. Women themselves may not be aware that the symptoms they are experiencing are related to menopause.
Keeping this in mind greater noida menopause society has been established by the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, GIMS, Greater Noida Under the aegis of indian menopause society. The inaugration of the society was done on Monday 15 July 2024 from 2-5 pm by the distinguished Chief guest and President Indian Menopause Society Dr Anju Soni and chief guest Dr Kochar.
This was followed by a CME -Midlife matters-Demystifynig the menopause with an emphasis on revisiting this crucial phase of womens life and addressing her health issues under the patronage of Dr (Brig) Rakesh Gupta, Director GIMS. Distinguished healthcare professionals, educators, and enthusiasts in the field converged for an enriching discourse on menopause.

The CME was structured to cover the essential and often neglected genito-urinary symptoms of menopause followed by the screening for the perimenopausal symptoms.
Eminent Speakers Dr anju soni , President Indian Menopause society shared her insights, expertise, and best practices to enhance understanding and proficiency in diagnosing and managing the GSM.Dr Kiran Aggarwal director, professor and unit head Lady Hardinge medical college New Delhi shared her insight on screening of perimenopausal symptoms.
A panel discussion on different interesting cases related to menopause was carried out with esteemed panelists under the abled moderation of Dr ritu Sharma Professor, & Head , GIMS , greater noida and dr Neha Gupta ,senior consultant and unit head ,Fortis hospital Noida.
The event was attended by more than ……. delegates and was a great success. Participants had a chance to engage with experts , asked their querries and gain insights that can directly impact their clinical practice.
The CME was organized under the esteemed leadership of Dr Ritu Sharma, Professor & Head, Obstetrics & Gynaecology at GIMS,and Dr anju soni , President Indian menopause society.
